Process/Systems Engineer duties & requirements:
Provide expertise in process/systems engineering to assure that the physical plant is routinely operating optimally, and all health care systems remain operational under any internal or external stress. The candidate shall have knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and how these individual pieces of equipment operate as overall systems and processes to provide the required power, heat, air conditioning, chilled water, routine water supply, security, fire, structural integrity, Building Management System etc. to effectively operate a facility. Additional duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical support to the operating staff on how best to operate each system and process by developing and documenting routine operating manuals for operators to follow.
  • Support as to predictable internal and external stresses to the physical plant and develop and document manuals to be followed when any of these stresses arise.
  • Be available, on site, when emergencies arise in the facility infrastructure of mechanical and electrical systems and provide input for solutions.
  • Have current knowledge of and expertise in the infrastructure of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Interface with key staff and have excellent rapport with these staff in order to perform required daily tasks.
  • Have demonstrated interpersonal skills and effective communication skills pertaining to technical issues in order to interface with contractors and key staff, to include clinical and facilities.
  • Complete required annual security trainings.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must have sophisticated knowledge of individual systems such as deionizing water generation and supply, chillers for MRI and linear accelerators.
  • Have knowledge of how each system operates to support the outputs, including maintenance plans and range of operation.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in medical facility
  • US Citizenship required
