Instrumentation & Controls Designer III


Keystone Engineering Group, Inc. is a Professional Engineering Firm and Systems Integrator with 25+ years of experience in Design and Design-Build services for Water, Wastewater, and private industries. We have five offices located in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Northeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Lewes Delaware, and Seaford Delaware.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in I&C Design, Control Systems, or related roles
  • Advanced knowledge of I&C Systems used in water/wastewater industry
  • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical
  • Understands engineering contract drawings and control schematics
  • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater instrumentation and controls
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and show close attention to detail
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and approachability in demeanor to work effectively with peers and clients
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work with strict and competing deadlines on an ongoing basis

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complete control panel calculations, drawings, I/O lists, Submittals, and O&M Manuals
  • Develop PLC wiring diagrams including motor control circuits under limited supervision
  • Assist in functionality checkout development with supervision
  • Advanced use of tools using AutoCAD electrical and libraries
  • Apply advanced understanding of instrumentation and controls
  • Independently prepare documentation of on-site control systems from site visits
  • Application of spatial awareness for layout and design of control panel installation
  • Prepare installation packages and field startup documents under limited supervision
  • Provide technical decisions for discussion with Team Lead
  • Participate in QC review with the expectation that comments are limited and mostly pertain to advanced design comments and contract coordination

Our Instrumentation & Controls Designers travel locally to client sites and occasionally have overnight travel trips for projects.
