Paquip is a manufacturing company in the packaging equipment industry. We design & manufacture machinery to fill containers such as large totes, drums, pails, as well as small bottles.

Title: CNC / Manual Machinist - Machine Fabrication, Assembly, & Design
- Full time with overtime as needed
- $32 - $40 / hour (comprised of $30 - 35 / hour + bonus)
Description
- Supports the production of our equipment by performing machining operations and assembly tasks.
- Assists in quality control and R&D processes, including design, fabrication, & assembly of new products.
Job Duties
- Manual metalworking equipment operation (mill, lathe, drill press, tapping, bandsaw, press brake, etc)
- CNC machine setup & operation (CNC mill, lathe, plasma cutter, router, etc)
- CAD / CAM (Computer-aided design / computer-aided manufacturing)
- 3D printing (FDM, SLA, and post processing, etc)
- Mechanical, electrical, & pneumatic assembly: Attach components to machine frames, assemble threaded pneumatic fittings, cut/label/terminate electrical wiring, route wires/hoses
- Organization & Continuous Improvement: Clean work areas and identify areas for improvements to safety and efficiency. Performs regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Shipment Preparation: Construct crates for completed orders. Palletize, strap, and wrap equipment and box parcel orders.
- Additional duties as required for the design, construction, testing, and shipping of our equipment

Experience & Education
- +4 years experience as a machinist, mechanic, or assembly technician OR equivalent personal experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
Requirements
- Proficiency with CAD and CAM software is required (Inventor, Solidworks, Mastercam, or Fusion 360, etc)
- Proficiency with setup and operation of CNC machine tools is required (milling, turning, router, etc)
- Proficiency with the operation of manual machine tools is required (mill, lathe, drill press, bandsaw, press brake, etc)
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings is required
- Knowledge of pneumatic components is preferred
- Knowledge of electrical circuits is preferred
- Experience with MIG/TIG welding is preferred
- Knowledge of fluid systems (pumps, fittings, gaskets, etc) is preferred
- Must be able to lift 50+ lb
- Must be able to stand and be active for the majority of the day
- Must have good hand-eye coordination with a high degree of manual dexterity
- Must be able to climb a ladder
