Robert Half's confidential client is seeking an experienced corporate attorney to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This will be a part-time "fractional counsel" role that will be only about 10-15 hours per week. The position offers a hybrid work environment based in Atlanta, Georgia, and requires close collaboration with leadership to support the organization’s legal needs.


Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts such as engagement letters, NDAs, and agreements with outsourced service providers.

• Provide legal counsel on employee-related issues, ensuring compliance and resolution of matters effectively.

• Oversee collections-related disputes and manage litigation processes in collaboration with outside counsel.

• Conduct thorough due diligence to support the division's ongoing restructuring and growth initiatives.

• Offer strategic advice on risk assessment and decision-making while balancing organizational goals.

• Monitor and enforce compliance with contractual obligations and restrictions.

• Serve as a key legal advisor during the transition to a new organizational structure, including reviewing and signing off on agreements.

• Collaborate with leadership and other departments to address legal challenges and facilitate smooth operations.

• Build strong relationships within the organization to become a trusted part of the leadership team.

• Proven experience in corporate law, with a focus on commercial contracts and due diligence.
• Ability to manage complex legal matters, including contract negotiations and litigation oversight.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and organizational compliance.
• Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex legal concepts effectively.
• Experience with financial services or similar industries is highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, including in-office presence when required.
• Must be able to commit to approximately 10-15 hours per week, with potential for increased hours as the division grows.
