Location: Durham, NC (Research Triangle Park)

Schedule: Hybrid; regular commute to the office is required.

Healthcare Regulatory and Transactional Practice


This is an ideal position for a midlevel associate with three to six years of experience navigating the regulatory and business landscape of the healthcare industry. Youll be engaged in a diverse array of work, including advising health systems, providers, life sciences clients, and digital health startups on issues ranging from corporate transactions and regulatory compliance to privacy and data security.


Attorneys in this group work alongside thought leaders in the healthcare law field and receive mentorship from highly experienced partners. You will be given opportunities to manage client relationships, contribute to business development, and take on complex and sophisticated assignments. This is a strong career-track role for a professional who seeks intellectual rigor, collaboration, and meaningful client impact in one of the countrys leading healthcare hubs.


Essential and Preferred Experience

  • 36 years of healthcare law experience, preferably in a law firm setting
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulatory frameworks (Stark, Anti-Kickback, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Experience with healthcare M&A, joint ventures, or corporate structuring preferred
  • Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a commitment to client service and business development
  • Demonstrated interest or background in healthcare operations, digital health, or life sciences is a plus
