Women's Basketball Camp Coach

Position Summary:

The Women’s Basketball Camp Coach plays a key role in supporting the Head Women’s Basketball Coach with the planning, coordination, and execution of the Women’s Basketball Camp. This position is responsible for ensuring a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience for all participants. Coaches will actively engage with campers, providing guidance, feedback, and encouragement to promote skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, a thorough understanding of basketball fundamentals, and a commitment to fostering a positive camp experience for all attendees.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Women’s Basketball Coach in all aspects of camp operations.
  • Support the setup and takedown of equipment and facilities before and after camp sessions.
  • Manage camper check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Provide instruction and coaching to campers, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and basketball fundamentals.
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment for all campers.
  • Enforce camp rules and maintain discipline in a respectful and constructive manner.
  • Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, responsibility, and sportsmanship.
  • Communicate effectively with campers, parents, staff, and fellow coaches.
  • Assist with any other tasks or duties as assigned by the Head Coach or camp leadership.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Collegiate Women’s Basketball rules, regulations, strategy and tactics.
  • Current or past collegiate basketball player, or experience with coaching youth basketball.
  • Excellent organization.
  • Excellent Communication skills both verbal and nonverbal.
  • Responsible in nature.
  • Clear background check.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire
  • 4+ years of elite basketball participation.
