In this hands-on, long-term role, you will help ensure product quality and food safety by conducting inspections, supporting compliance, and working closely with production.

The company values teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement. \n\n \n\nWhy You’ll Love This Job \n\n-Competitive pay: $18/hour \n\n-Clean, organized, and well-managed environment \n\n\n-Hands-on role with room to grow your quality and leadership skills \n\n-Supportive team culture with long-term stability\n\n \n\nJob Type: Full-Time, Long-Term \n\n* *\n\nKey Job Duties \n\n-Responsible for food safety and product integrity \n\n-Examine materials before startup \n\n-Conduct audits of facility conditions and GMPs \n\n-Ensure codes are accurate on packaged and cased products \n\n-Perform visual inspections on packaged product \n\n-Perform net contents sampling and monitor for compliance \n\n-Conduct quality inspections on raw material, packaging components, labels, and finished products to ensure conformance to -specifications \n\n-Perform sensory evaluation of components and finished product \n\n-Perform clean equipment inspections and conduct microbiological/chemical sampling for analysis \n\n-Understand and follow all standards, food safety policies, and procedures \n\n-Document and communicate any non-conforming product, perform corrective actions, and place materials on hold \n\n-Assist in performing inspection and inventory of held materials \n\n-Coach site personnel in GMPs, product specifications, and sanitary condition standards \n\n-Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management\n\n\n \n\nSchedule \n\n\n* \n\n\n\n-2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 1:45 PM–10:00 PM \n\n-Saturdays as needed \n\n-Flexibility to work alternate shifts occasionally due to production or staffing needs\n\n \n\nPay \n\n$18.00 per hour\n\n \n\nJob Requirements \n\n-Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control \n\n-Knowledge of food production or food packaging environments \n\n-Basic computer skills \n\n-Effective verbal, listening, written, and interpersonal communication skills \n\n-Ability to work off-shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required \n\n-Self-directed and able to manage time and tasks independently\n\n \n\nPreferred Special Skills \n\n\n\n* Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus \n\n\n \n\nPhysical Requirements \n\n-Must be able to stand for long periods of time \n\n-Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs \n\n-Must be able to do the following continuously for 8 hours a day: \n\n-Stand, bend, climb, twist (neck and waist) \n\n-Perform repetitive hand movements (power grasping) \n\n-Push, pull, and reach above/below shoulder level\n\n \n\nAllergen Notice \n\nProducts produced in the facility contain known allergens including, but not limited to: milk, soy, wheat, tree nuts, egg, sesame, mustard, and sulfites \n\n \n\n \n\nBenefits Offered by Verstela to Employees \n\n-Medical \n\n-Dental \n\n-Vision \n\n-Short Term Disability \n\n-Term Life and AD and D \n\n\n-Identity Theft Protection \n\n-Prescription Plan \n\n-401(K) Retirement Savings Plan \n\n \n\nHow to Apply \n\nApply online today or call us at (630) 787-2900 to get started!
