Location: North of Fort Wayne, IN
Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 (Based on Experience)
Industry: RV Components Manufacturing

The Industrial Engineer will be a key driver of process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives throughout the facility. This individual will focus on improving workflows, optimizing plant layout, reducing waste, and supporting data-driven decision-making across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and implement Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven techniques
  • Analyze production data to uncover bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and implement process changes accordingly
  • Lead plant layout optimization projects, including workflow redesign, space utilization, and material flow
  • Develop time studies, work standards, and labor efficiency metrics
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and visual work instructions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and engineering to align improvement goals
  • Support the implementation of new equipment and process technologies from an efficiency standpoint
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for process issues


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, process optimization, and layout planning
  • Proficiency with time studies, workflow analysis, and data collection tools
  • Experience in a CNC, stamping, fabrication environment
