Position: Legal Assistant (Contract)
Location: Midtown Manhattan

Our client is a prestigious multi-billion dollar investment management firm, renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation in the financial sector. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Assistant to support their Chief Legal Officer (CLO) on a contract basis. This is a hybrid position, offering candidates the opportunity to work both remotely and on-site in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Work Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday: In-office (Midtown Manhattan)
- Friday: Remote work.
- Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Pay: $30+/hour
- Duration: 5+ months (Temp-to-hire option)
Responsibilities:
The Legal Assistant will be responsible for providing high-level administrative and legal support to the CLO. Key duties include:
- Redlining and editing Word documents to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Entering data into Excel spreadsheets with attention to detail.
- Managing invoices and coordinating approvals.
- Organizing travel arrangements for the CLO, ensuring seamless itineraries.
- Managing and maintaining the CLO’s calendar, including scheduling and prioritizing appointments.
- Performing general administrative duties as assigned.
- Prior experience in a law firm is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures preferred.
