Job Description
The Mold Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality and consistency. Responsibilities include initiating actions to prevent product non-conformity, identifying and recording quality issues, recommending and implementing solutions, verifying their implementation, and handling scrap disposal appropriately. The technician will conduct visual quality inspections, identify any defects, and communicate findings with process technicians and the maintenance team. Additionally, responsibilities encompass mold and material changes as necessary, as well as performing gauge and weight checks to validate process capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Initiate action to prevent product non-conformity.
- Identify and record quality problems.
- Recommend and implement solutions.
- Verify implementation of solutions.
- Identify and dispose of scrap properly.
- Report deficiencies to supervisor.
- Conduct visual quality inspections and identify defects.
- Communicate findings with process technicians and maintenance group.
- Perform mold and material changes as needed or required.
- Execute gauge and weight checks to validate process capabilities.
Essential Skills
- Experience in injection mold setups and changeovers.
- Proficiency in quality inspection using calipers and micrometers.
- Ability to perform machine setup and changeover.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as a mold setter.
- Automotive experience is preferred but not required.
Work Environment
The position is available for the 3rd shift, with working hours from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The current work schedule involves seven days a week, with shifts also available for 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pulaski, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
