At DBN, we are committed to fostering a supportive and forward-thinking workplace. As an Insurance Defense Medical Malpractice Attorney, you will handle complex and high-stakes cases, representing healthcare providers, hospitals, and insurers in a wide range of medical malpractice matters.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload focused on medical malpractice defense, including claims involving hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft responsive pleadings, dispositive motions, and detailed legal memoranda.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, including risk assessment and litigation strategy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Stay current on legal developments, case law, and regulatory changes impacting medical malpractice and insurance defense.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing.
  • 8–10 years of experience in insurance defense, with a strong emphasis on medical malpractice litigation.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
