Full-Time Contract | $50–$52/hr (W2)
Job Overview:
A-Line Staffing is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical engineering execution of major infrastructure projects including power plants, data centers, substations, or HVDC systems for a prominent company in Orlando, FL. This contract position plays a critical role in ensuring successful project delivery, technical compliance, and stakeholder coordination from design to commissioning.
You will be responsible for driving electrical engineering strategies, managing technical teams and suppliers, ensuring design quality, and resolving interface issues while maintaining strict adherence to cost, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the execution of all electrical engineering aspects across large-scale industrial and energy projects

Coordinate with project engineering managers, project stakeholders, and cross-functional teams

Manage and monitor performance of internal and external suppliers, ensuring interface clarity across electrical, I&C, and layout scopes

Prepare and review technical specifications, design concepts, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs)

Provide ongoing project reporting, including engineering progress, risks, clarifications, and opportunities

Ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables with a focus on quality, schedule, and cost control

Maintain compliance with EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) standards across the project lifecycle

Support construction and commissioning teams, providing guidance for real-time issue resolution

Minimize non-conformance costs (NCCs) and contribute to continual improvement efforts
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or related field

8+ years of experience in electrical engineering for large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., power plants, data centers, substations, HVDC)

Proven expertise in electrical power systems, MCCs, MV/LV switchgears, transformers, converters, rectifiers, and SLDs/3LDs
-
Experience managing multicultural teams and working in complex, collaborative project environments

Proficiency in electrical engineering project execution from proposal through commissioning

Strong risk identification and mitigation skills

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in one or more U.S. states preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus

Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with HVDC transmission systems

Previous exposure to international project environments or consortium-led execution models

Strong familiarity with engineering project tools, reporting systems, and electrical design standards
