This is a Part Time role for the summer months. With a schedule of 7:30am-1:30pm or 12pm -6pm. The pay is $13 -14 per hour depending upon experience and qualifications. This is an onsite role at our center location: 207 Emerson Dr. NW, Palm Bay, FL 32907
Our Summer Camp Counselors you’ll guide and support youth in multiple areas of life—including academics, communication, social skills, and independence. You'll work as part of a collaborative team, serving as a mentor and role model while facilitating a wide range of STEM/STEAM activities that promote creativity, confidence, and growth. In addition to your role as a counselor, you will also be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for our students by driving a school bus or van. A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet transportation requirements are essential for this position.
What You’ll Do:
• Promote positive self-image by listening, responding, and encouraging independence
• Guide children in self-regulation using Techniques from Conscious Discipline
• Work with the young children in activities including both indoor and outdoor games
• Maintain positive communication with parents
• Ability to safe operate a school van and transport children
• Share values through role modeling and small group discussions
What We Need from You:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Clean driving record and motor vehicle record
• Willingness to obtain FL DCF 45 certification; Start 2 courses upon hire required
• Pass Level II DCF background check.
