Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting litigation processes, managing trial preparation, and handling eDiscovery tasks. This position requires excellent organizational skills and familiarity with legal systems and procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with eDiscovery processes, including managing digital files and ensuring proper documentation.
• Prepare trial materials such as trial notebooks, exhibits, and other supporting documents.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurately labeled and easily accessible.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and correspondence.
• File documents electronically using e-filing systems and ensure compliance with court requirements.
• Perform document review and bate stamping to ensure proper labeling and organization.
• Track billable hours and ensure accurate reporting using case management software.
• Coordinate calendar management for deadlines, meetings, and court appearances.
• Collaborate with attorneys to support trial preparation and strategy.
• Utilize billing and time-tracking tools like ProLaw to manage records efficiently.• Proven experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in commercial litigation.
• Proficiency in e-filing and eDiscovery systems.
• Familiarity with case management and billing software such as ProLaw.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to draft legal documents with accuracy and professionalism.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with legal teams.
• Prior experience with trial preparation, including creating trial notebooks and exhibits.
• Knowledge of calendar management and deadline tracking in a legal environment.
