Help OKDHS ensure that children in your community are safe at child care facilities!&nbsp; This position is responsible for inspecting child care facilities in local county and surrounding areas, to ensure compliance with regulations.&nbsp; Travel may be&nbsp;extensive, but will be in a state-owned vehicle or mileage will be reimbursed.&nbsp; &nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications
Level I: Bachelor's Degree in any field is required;
Level II: Applicant may have:
<ul>
<li>A Master's degree in early childhood education, child development, or social work.</li>
<li>OR&nbsp;a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, and social work, and one year of professional level experience in child care licensing, early childhood education, or social work.</li>
<li>OR a&nbsp;bachelor's degree in any field plus two years of professional experience in child care licensing, early childhood education, social work, or in a licensed childcare or formal early childhood setting.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Manages a caseload in&nbsp;local county and surrounding areas;</li>
<li>Monitors and assesses Child Care facilities to ensure compliance with licensing requirements and certification criteria for the differential quality rate and the special needs rate for children with disabilities;</li>
<li>Conducts complaint investigations;</li>
<li>Identifies and investigates unlicensed facilities;</li>
<li>Provides necessary training for caregivers;</li>
<li>Attend all required meetings, training, and workshops;</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
